$2.5 Million – John E. Molinari – Motor Vehicle Accident

By Michael Zerres

A 57-year-old plaintiff was struck by a car while riding his motorized bicycle. He had previously retired from a municipal government position due to myasthenia gravis, a condition that causes weakness in skeletal muscles.

Following the crash, the plaintiff was hospitalized and underwent cervical and thoracic spinal fusions. Nearly a year later, he was hospitalized again due to severe weakness in his extremities and required a second multilevel spinal fusion. He subsequently underwent multiple rounds of physical therapy to aid his recovery.
